Teaching Reiki

One of the greatest joys of being a Reiki master is to be able to teach others. I teach Reiki 1; Reiki 2; Reiki Master; Reiki Drumbeat. I also facilitate various workshops.

When teaching Reiki 1, 2, or Reiki Master, I provide the student with a three ring binder. This binder contains various handouts written by myself and others. The handouts are appropriate to the level of reiki being taught. For example, the Reiki 1 and the Reiki 2 binders each have a different level of Chakra handouts suited to the level of reiki being taught.

If I am teaching a Reiki 2 class, and the student(s) have already completed Reiki 1 taught by another Reiki Master, I provide a review of Reiki 1 to be sure they have learned all the necessary facts.

I have learned that if a student comes to me wanting Reiki 1, Reiki 2, or Reiki Master, I will teach one on one rather than make a potential student wait until I have a group of students.

Upon completion of the class, each student receives a framed certificate.

When I took Reiki Master training, I received only two or three sessions of training. That does not seem enough to me. When I teach Reiki Master, the student receives at least 9 – 12 sessions of two hours or more. I feel that being a Reiki Master one should be familiar with various handouts and techniques so that they have a thorough knowledge of Reiki and are ready to teach Reiki to others.

I believe in teaching the student a great deal of knowledge that will come in handy in her/his reiki practice.
