The
Origin of a Drumcircles is
traced back to Africa, although we don’t
really know when the first Drumcircle was held. Perhaps
back in prehistory, when humans first began to gather in
numbers and become individual groups we now call a village or community.
Why?
People say for protection in numbers. And that may be true.
But, out of that grew a sense of being a part of something greater
than
oneself.
The
first social support systems began, perhaps 100,000 years ago.
The Drumcircle was held in the village. Everyone attended, from
the smallest baby to the oldest wise women and men. This
was the social event that brought everyone together to interact
as
a group, and create positive energy. This was entertainment,
and social support system, coming together to affirm their group
strength.
The
Drumbeat is used to Relax and Heal – the Vibration – the
Pulse, that exists in every Living Being. Everything we know,
every being, every plant, every rock vibrates at a certain
speed.
This
is
their Optimum
Pulse for Wellness.
When
other vibrations disturb or change a being’s pulse,
sickness or blockage of energy channels results.
Think about some of the noises that you don’t like
to hear . . . .a jackhammer... horns beeping... a child crying – or
whining!? These sounds disturb the deepest level
of your being and cause
stress.
Sound
healing is based on the principle that helping you back to
"Your Own Resonance, Your Own Beat, Your
Vibe",
returns you to relaxation and lowers stress levels, which Helps
Create Optimum Health.
The
Drumcircle is the vehicle by which the primitive community bonded
and interacted with each other. This was long before todays
concept of bonding rituals, such as, Happy
Hour, Baby Showers, Bridal Showers, Bachelor Parties,
and other
gatherings of todays sort.
